At Southern Calvert Baptist Church, the Worship Ministry exists to glorify God and proclaim the truth of His Word through music. Our desire is simple: to point people to Christ and help lead the congregation into genuine worship that is centered on Him.
We believe worship is far more than music—it is the response of God’s people to who He is and what He has done. The worship team serves as facilitators, creating an environment where the congregation can freely engage in worship together. In this picture, the congregation is the performer, and God is the audience.
Through biblically grounded songs, passionate praise, and a heart for excellence, our team seeks to communicate the Gospel and encourage believers to worship in spirit and in truth. Through modern worship, every service is designed to draw attention not to ourselves, but to Jesus Christ.
Our prayer is that every person who walks into a service would encounter the hope, truth, and love of Christ—and then carry that message beyond the walls of the church so that the Word of God reaches as many people as possible.
