After the retirement of our senior pastor, the members of Southern Calvert Baptist Church in Lusby, Maryland are currently searching for a Senior / Lead Pastor with a vision to further grow our congregation and our impact, and thrive spiritually. Southern Calvert Baptist Church is a medium sized debt-free church united in serving the Lord Jesus Christ. We subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message, and support the SBC, the Baptist Convention of Maryland and Delaware, and the Potomac Baptist Association. We are a congregation with over 400 members and an average weekly attendance over 300 worshiping in a sanctuary which can seat over 500. In Southern Maryland near Solomons Island, we are located on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay near the mouth of the Patuxent River about one hour south of Washington, DC and Annapolis. Our staff of two associate pastors and an administrative assistant partners with lay leaders to serve dynamic ministries in multi-generational education, local/national/international missions, and glorifying music. Office Manager
SCBC is looking for a self-motivated, organized administrator to be our church Office Manager. The church Office Manager is a welcoming and competent presence in the church office that facilitates the work of the church pastors and other leadership. A qualified candidate will be a sincere follower of Jesus, a self-starter, friendly, cooperative, and adaptable. We seek someone with strong computer skills using the Microsoft office suite, comfortable math skills, preferably a familiarity with QuickBooks, and the ability to manage our social media website.
This person will assist with the daily management of the church and will be responsible for financial records administration, upkeep of the church calendar, maintaining church records, supply management, and other management duties. If you have good organizational skills, financial acumen for bookkeeping activities, and an interest in helping others, we’d like to meet you.
Salary: Skill and experience dependent; $22 to $30 per hour for 25 Hours a week (generally 5 hours a day with flexibility). Federal Holidays are paid time off as well as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and 10 vacation days per year.
