Mexico Mission Trip: 7-Day Prayer Guide

August 2–10, 2025
Let’s commit daily to pray with purpose, believing that God will work in hearts, protect our team, and glorify His name through this mission.

Day 1 – Friday, Aug 2: Covering the Journey

Scripture:
“The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” – Psalm 121:8 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
Today marks the beginning of a journey, but God has already gone before us. As the team travels, we rest in the assurance that our coming and going is under His sovereign care. Pray for protection, peace, and purpose in every mile traveled.

Prayer Points:

  • Safe and smooth travel

  • Unity and joy as the team begins

  • Protection over luggage and logistics

  • Strength and encouragement for Julio, Marisol, and their boys

Day 2 – Saturday, Aug 3: Hearts Ready to Serve

Scripture:
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” – Colossians 3:23 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
Before the work begins, we prepare our hearts. Mission is more than action—it’s worship. Ask the Lord to tune every heart to His voice and to align every step with His will.

Prayer Points:

  • Spiritual readiness of the team

  • Encouragement for Mt Horeb and La Roca Churches

  • Sensitivity to the Spirit’s leading

  • Open hearts in the community

Day 3 – Sunday, Aug 4: Gospel Proclaimed

Scripture:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” – Romans 1:16a (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
Today is a day for proclaiming the good news. As sermons are shared and worship rises, pray for gospel boldness and open ears. May the power of Christ be clearly seen and deeply felt.

  • Christ-centered preaching in Sunday services

  • Clear translation and receptive hearts

  • Strengthening of Mt Horeb and La Roca churches

  • Salvation and spiritual renewal

Day 4 – Monday, Aug 5: Hope for the Broken

Scripture:
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
Jesus came to heal the broken, and today the team ministers to those in deep need. In the rehab facility and at La Roca, pray that the light of Christ would break through darkness with healing, hope, and redemption.

Prayer Points:

  • Ministry at the boys’ rehab facility

  • Healing, salvation, and restoration

  • Continued strength for La Roca Church

  • Compassion and courage for the team

Day 5 – Tuesday, Aug 6: Reaching the Margins

Scripture:
“Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” – Luke 18:16 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
In Virreyes and La Roca, the gospel goes to the young, the poor, the overlooked. Jesus welcomed them—and so must we. Pray that children and families will encounter the love of Christ in personal and powerful ways.

  • Fruitful VBS, outreach, and fellowship

  • Boldness and love from the team

  • Refreshment for Julio and Marisol

Day 7 – Thursday, Aug 8: Press On with Joy

Scripture:
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
Though the body may be tired, the Spirit renews us daily. As the team continues to pour out, pray for fresh joy and endurance. God is faithful to use every seed planted.
